Fresh Sprouted Feed Designed to Fully Replace Layer Concentrates

Processed layer concentrates are one of the highest and most volatile costs for commercial egg producers. They often contain unwanted additives and carry significant transport costs.

Green2Gro offers a complete contracted feed service that allows you to fully replace these concentrates with fresh, enzyme-rich wet sprouted fodder produced daily on your farm in climate-controlled multi-tier aeroponic CEA Chambers.

You do not buy or operate any equipment. We produce the feed every day under a clear service contract. The complete system is 100% funded by Centrafin over 72 months, so there is no capital expenditure required.

Remove Your Most Expensive and Problematic Input

Green2Gro fresh sprouted fodder costs less than the processed concentrates it fully replaces, while eliminating concerns around hormones, antibiotics, inconsistent quality, price volatility and transport costs. Farmers who switch also commonly report cleaner eggs and less sticky manure to manage.

What It Costs, Per Day

Two comparisons, two starting points. The first table below compares Green2Gro against typical standard (conventional processed) concentrate. The second compares against certified organic concentrate, which costs significantly more per kilogram. Use whichever matches what you feed today — the numbers are not meant to be read against each other.

Estimate Your Savings

Enter what you currently spend on concentrate, and see what the published ranges above imply for your farm.

Based on the published feed-cost saving range for this species (above). Excludes additional savings from eliminating transport (typically R800–R1,200 per ton) and the performance gains many farmers report. This is an estimate, not a formal quote — request a proposal for exact numbers.

On the numbers above: these are pure feed-cost comparisons only. At the low end of some ranges, before transport is added, the difference can be small — even slightly negative — so Green2Gro is not always the cheapest kilogram-for-kilogram. Total cost of ownership tells the fuller story: transport savings (typically R800 to R1,200 per ton) and the condition, health and productivity gains many farmers report from fresh, enzyme-rich sprouts consistently swing the balance in Green2Gro's favour. Green2Gro does not claim 1 kg of wet sprouts equals 1 kg of dry concentrate — the daily volumes above are calculated to deliver equivalent or better usable protein and energy than the concentrate they replace.

Nutritional support: even when fully replacing concentrates, free-choice oyster shell or limestone for calcium, plus a suitable layer vitamin-mineral premix, are still required for strong eggshells and overall health.

Important: if you are working toward organic or regenerative certification, please ensure the premix and any calcium source you use are approved for your specific certification scheme.
