CEA stands for Controlled Environment Agriculture. A CEA Chamber is the climate-controlled structure Green2Gro installs and operates on your farm. Inside it uses multi-tier racks and an automated aeroponic misting system to grow fresh, enzyme-rich sprouted fodder every day, regardless of the weather or season outside.

The complete system is fully funded over 72 months through Centrafin, an approved funding partner. Centrafin assesses affordability for your farm as part of the application.

No. There is no capital expenditure required. The installation, equipment and 72-month contract are all funded through Centrafin.

You choose what happens next. Make one further monthly payment and the CEA Chamber becomes yours outright, end the contract and Centrafin takes the chamber back with no further obligations, or renew for another 72-month term and keep the daily service running.

Yes, but the remaining term of the contract becomes payable if you cancel before the 72 months are up.

The contract is transferable to the new owner, subject to Centrafin's vetting and approval. If the new owner does not qualify, the remaining term of the contract becomes payable.

No strict minimum. Green2Gro installs enough CEA Chambers to match your stock numbers.

Each unit produces 1,296 kg of fresh feed per day for layers, broilers and pigs, or 1,000 kg per day for dairy, beef, sheep, goats and game. Multiple units are installed together to match larger herds and flocks.

Water to SABS drinking water standard, at approximately 1.2 litres per kg of fresh feed produced. A grid connection where possible, with backup power for outages. Daily labour, about an hour a day per unit, 7 days a week, contracted to Green2Gro to operate the CEA Chamber. Own labour to collect and feed the sprouts to your animals. Municipal building permission, if required.

Everything else: the CEA Chamber(s) and their installation, the solar power system, network and data connection, fencing, civil works, concrete slab, water tanks, seed silos, seed, daily production, maintenance, monitoring, training and a 100% uptime guarantee.

The recommended total site area for one chamber is approximately 450 to 600 square metres, with a typical layout of around 22 by 25 metres or 20 by 30 metres. This covers the CEA Chamber and access on all sides, the solar power system and its row spacing, water buffer tanks and seed silos, pathways, electrical and drainage for circulation and services, vehicle access, working space and gate access, and a perimeter fencing setback. Larger herds and flocks are matched with multiple units.

Pricing is simple and zero-rated: one rand-per-kilogram rate for the fresh sprouted feed produced, with no hidden fees. Each species page shows the current price and a comparison against typical processed concentrate costs.

The rand-per-kilogram rate is reviewed every 3 months, since it tracks daily movements in the seed market. The zero-rated VAT treatment does not change. Each species page shows the current price.

This supply of animal feed is zero-rated under Section 11(1)(g) of the South African VAT Act. No VAT is charged, unlike standard-rated goods and services which carry 15% VAT.

Green2Gro fodder is sustainably produced: it grows on-farm using regenerative solar power, with zero transport emissions and zero pesticides. The fodder component is organic-ready and supports organic and regenerative certification. Green2Gro does not claim the feed is certified organic on its own; certification depends on your farm's overall feeding program.

Yes. The service supports sprout-fed, organic-ready and regenerative claims, and the production system runs on regenerative solar electricity.

Seed is sourced as non-GMO, GMO or certified organic, depending on your farm's certification needs.
